The Fly Bar
A well positioned venue for a night out in the centre of town by completely out of place. A wacky grunge industrial decor room greets the entrant with black wooden floors, tired sofas, so quiet that I can hear my friends at the other side of the room word for word as they joke at the bar. Downstairs a tiny stage with poor light show and a truly awful gentleman mixing the sound of my favoured band - Deeds of the Nameless. A second bar downstairs sees thuggish youths gathering in thirst taking shots of poor replica scotch from the optics.
Ultimately the fly makes the whole barfly brand look band- It is hardly impressive to turn a small basement into a show room with the work of a flashlight and a broken bubble machine - 3/10
