The Red Lion and Sun

No longer the smokey dungeon of its dubious past, but a gastro-pub restored to some level of glory - a proud feel about the place with well dressed clientele in a mess of twenty-somethings and OAPs. The barmen are a huddle of gents in their thirties serving the growing crowd with some haste but the interior venue seems too small for wide accomodation. Thankfully outside the front is well kept garden with benches and heaters, perfect for smokers and summer drinking. For those winters warmers there is an open fire within and small wooden tables at which to drink and dine. The place feels pretty homely and by all accounts has done away with an image that long haunted this spot on the hill.

Overall a very nice establishment, a little on the small side (which it doesnt need to be given its location) but comfortable and welcoming for those of all ages - 6/10
