The Hope Pub

A small pub, set back from the main road of tottenham court road is this hide-away pub set on two levels. The interior is nothing exciting, a few small tables and a bar. The layout is rather traditional, pictures on the wall depict ancient battle-scenes and the pub has a rock-music appeal to it. The young guys behind the bar throw on a couple of metal classics and before long punters are slipping inside for plates of chips and beans, fine sausages from all corners of London and the suited crowd appears to be glad of a pub, that from the outside looks like any other.
Overall the appeal of the Hope is its atmosphere, its friendly, upbeat while still holding true to its routes as what was obviously once a community venue, would gladly return for a cheap lunch - 5/10

I really like the Hope. When I worked on Charlotte Street I would end up there for a nifty swifty after work every now and then. Never had a bad time. Most importantly, given the size of the pub, I never had to wait long for a pint.
