The Jerusalem Tavern

A fundamentally quaint and powerful ancient pub is this. The Jerusalem tavern presents very very old inn furnishings, interior and bar, even the drinks are from a local brewery and bottle beers are presented in containers you would expect to see in an 18th century apothecary. The bar staff, though unfriendly are firm in character with an older time and the place is a gem for authenticity even stretching to the cobbled alley out the back. Unfortunately in is well known that this place is just as good as the label on the tin; and it gets overcrowded quite quickly. If you can bear to enjoy the experience in half a doorway or squatting in a corner then you would have no problems having the night of your life here but its become too popular for its own good an this wrecks the experience.

Overall quite an expensive pub but theme and flavour and charisma that rocks the traditional pub world here and across London, if only it was bigger! 8/10
