The Grange Pub and Dining Room

The Grange is meticulously maintained by a couple who are good at what they do and run a tight shift. The pub stands proud and alone beside the common, a fairly large garden dominates the rear of the venue and up front the bar splits into a dining room to the right and the drinking area to the left. The bar can get quite busy and unfortunately if you don’t happen to get the landlord the service can be slow and disappointing. Prices are reasonable and despite how busy it is there is always room to sit down. Apparently the food is second-to-none and the dining room area is jam packed and I have my suspicions that those drinking are actually waiting for a table to become free where dining is possible.
Overall a keenly impressive venture, the management pull off a modern gastro inside a traditional shell in one of the best way’s I have ever seen and the setting for the pub among the residence of Ealing provides a hearty background for a venue that clearly fuels a select section of the community - cheerful and respectful, needs trimming round the edges - 7/10
