Trattoria Bar

The departure lounge of the London City airport is not very big at all so it is surprising to find that one bar stretches almost the full width of the lounge. The Trattoria Bar offers a large selection but at five pounds a beer its too pricey to really enjoy a beverage and consists of just businessmen ordering coffee. There is little seating dedicated to bar drinks apart from one to two closed off seats for single person drinking while reading the financial times. The bar staff don’t look particularly happy to be there and the place has next to no character.
Overall this bar looks like it has been installed as an after thought, the bright brass finishes and gawdy sign over the bar gives it a distinct feeling of “drink up and get on a plane already” and perhaps that is reflected in the price - 3/10
