Travel Lodge Drury Lane Bar

The Travel Lodge on Drury Lane is not the easiest Hotel to find yet it towers in its secluded corner of Covent Garden as an Eyesore among other similar blocks of flats. The entrance is a pair of unsightly double doors on a concrete plateau of what must be public gardens. Just inside the door sits a bar area to the right and reception ahead. The bar is a ghastly looking thing with several uncomfortable looking perched tables with stools in the middle of the room - some booths and a bar served by a man in the sort of uniform not fit for a McDonald’s worker. The soft light and beige and orange highlight meals that some eat and dirty pints , so ignorant that just down the road dreams on plates and in glasses are awoken.
I can’t find respect for the people that drink in here and with sky high prices and one of the poorest selections I have come across it gets a flat our 2/10, perhaps only convenient for those too fearful to go outside at night under the tower of the blocks around them.
