Bar SW4

Bar SW4 is now an O Neill’s
An attempt at trying to produce an upmarket lounge bar with hanging plasma screens and tiny chandeliers appears to have gone wrong. The punters it brings are scruffy types, looking for a night on the pull, heavily on the drink or looking for music so commercial it brings in armies of individuals that look the same think the same and dress the same. The place is left messy, the service slow and with the men’s toilets completely out of action, my visit was tremendously appealing. Mirrors are used to try and make the place look bigger- and it is already big but far too popular as the night wears on. The music is of urban style, and despite the clones of people populating the place they all appear to be students which, at these average London drink prices, is somewhat of a surprise.
Overall it does remain a popular bar - it has a back garden - an area to dance at the back and it doesn’t completely rip off the punter but after much arguing with fellow revellers about this venue it keeps a 5/10 , I am convinced one could do better on a night out round here.
