The Victoria

The Victoria is a particularly well sheltered pub from the rest of buzzing Camden nightlife and as such you would assume it was piping with old men, ale and flat-caps but instead it proves to be a cosy hideaway for a trendy selection of people and young professionals that want to turn down the volume on their evening for a few quiet (although quite expensive) beers. The interior is an assortment of comfortable couch-booths, small tables and benches that surround a semi circular bar. The staff are friendly and the place is busy enough for almost all tables to be taken yet the bar is empty so service is fast. Out the back is a small floral garden with patio heaters but the toilets aren’t much to be desired.
Overall a surprisingly good addition to Camden extent of differing venues but this one seems perfect for a quiet beer contrasting strongly to the bustle of the Crescent which appears down the road - 6/10
