The Banker

A traditional pub popular with guess which group of people? Yes that’s right, bankers and city folk relax in their over-priced suits, lining the sides of the veranda outside the front, into the small hall within and up on the first floor as the pub begins to wind around corners in an attempt to snatch as much of a view as possible of the tranquil waters of the Thames and throw in a few pool tables for fun in the section above the bar. The place is expectedly priced but does not rip the punter off and the furnishings are comfortable and reservable. Tables on the first floor overlook the Thames itself as this pub is literally on the jip by the river with the cannon street station bridge towering above.
Overall a pleasant pub to spend an evening in with much to see and fine company to be had, the crowd is more middle-aged and the venue is actually a little harder to stumble upon than you would imagine. Overall 6/10
