Reflex Nightclub (St Paul’s - London)

Reflex Nightclub

The day i discovered a Reflex bar in central London was the day I fell in love with the city. I had no idea that a commercial club chain had an outlet in the shadow of St Paul’s Cathedral. Okay its not the easiest venue to find but stumble upon it before 10pm and there is a chance you wont be queuing for an hour. Within the bar is based on two basement levels with the first as a simple bar, cheap drinks cocktails and shooters and the second is at the bottom of a central staircase with a dance-floor, more neon lights than a downscaled version of Vegas and a quite electric atmosphere. The appeal here apart from MC Hammer prancing around on the big screens in his puffy trousers with the best of 80s anthems weighing the air down around you is the prices. This place is the cheapest club for drinks in the area and this is why it can get overcrowded and unfortunately does pull a meat market of a crowd.

Overall this 80s themed venue is definitely not the best example of the chain I have been to but it does have the upper side of location despite the crowd being a tad unappealing, definitely a haven for giggly girly student lovers of the 80s genre but londoners seem to know better - 7/10
