The Monken Holt

A lively little find very top of high Barnet high street-it barely makes it into London being only 10m from the absolute city limits (according to the A to Z). A low ceiling but lots of seating, a quick serving time, very friendly customers and staff and good drink prices. They occasionally have late night live acts, and they also have a large beer garden out the back and seating out the front. Amazing in all weathers. I have been in here on New Years morning and its beautiful. Definitely a classic pub and is worth that extra long walk.
