The Hadley Oak Bar

The Hadley Oak (ex. Bar Square) places fine drinking and plush outdoor gastro next to the money-to-spend neighbourhood of Hadley Common. Inside one can fine shiny taps with the names of obscure (yet commercial) Belgian beers, fine ale and one or two other premium off-the-cuff drinks. The tables are a bit obstructive and large but this pub firms its attentions outside to a veranda and patio which have been laden with Art Nouveau umbrella parasols and wicker seating with sofas outside making chilly alfresco drinking into the 21st century for the area. Unfortunately it is as expensive as can be, coupled with having the odd loud mouthed drunken-fool blaring on his mobile that “the limo just dropped him off” and offering to pry my female counterparts with tequila to take the string off of being just so wealthy.
Up its own backside, shirts only gentlemen, place to avoid unless you are feeling a little bit stuck up or realise it is actually the most comfortable beer-garden in Barnet - 5/10
