Wax Jambu Bar

A dark bar filled with people, shoulder to shoulder. Filling every tiny table, sitting on couches and in tiny booths looked packed as sardines are the occupants, only revealed once you enter through the glass doors past bouncers and bag checkers. The wait for drinks is very slow, at a bar that sits at the very back of the room. Thankfully a staircase leading to the upstairs toilets also has a second bar on two flights up. This addition to the venue is quieter and more relaxed with soft lighting although with trainee bar staff on my visit. The selection behind the bar is not as wide as it looks on first glance and price wise- nine shots set me back 30 pounds. It was not until the end of the evening that enough seating became available for us to sit down but although a little cramped in all corners this bar sufficed for the majority of a casual evening.
Overall packed out at weekends, a little on the expensive side but good for wandering hands in the dark and overdressed folk flaunting what the have in a space the size of a carrier bag 5/10
