Rubber Soul Club

Trotting down old Matthews street in middle of a fine Saturday evening the parade and I enter the abode of one Rubber Soul Club. A forked venue with a large dance floor to one side and an old man style pub with tables and a long bar to the right. The place was notably empty for 8pm but we assumed it would pick up later. I ordered a hard and fast half of Cider which came to 90p. The barman was fast to serve but not particularly friendly. The music was of a ranging variety and the parade and I decided there would be a better crowd and atmosphere in Flares club over the road.
Overall we weren’t impressed, it was rather dark and gloomy and could have been so much more with more folk- maybe just under-sold to the teenage market. And a 4/10 for you Mr Sergeant Pepper.
