Edward’s Bar

A short trot from the home of the Beatles this supposed chain bar is a nice little gem hidden in these old fashioned scouse back-roads. The bar is of medium sized with the venue itself based on two floors with a small galley where the upstairs overlooks the down. Music is played in here throughout the day- pop in genre and just loud enough to talk over. There are small TVs dotted around playing music videos and drinks at the bar are about average- £2.10 a pint, £6 a bottle of house rose and £1.30 for a large coke. There is also good quality cheap food available. Its certainly a good place to come for a few drinks in the early evening before heading off to something more substantial down Matthews street.
Overall it does appeal to the cheap-mans sense of beer in the centre of this busy city but has little character and like most chain pubs falls neatly in a rating of 6/10.
