The Venue - Leicester Student Union Bar

The Leicester student union is, like most other student unions up and down the country- in dire need of a face-lift. The central hall by which the front entrance deposits its entrants is a large school like assembly hall with slippery floors and a big stage at the front on which DJs and dancers put on the show for a good three hundred people that fill the room. To the right of the stage small doors lead into a darker smaller hip-hop room where a bar at the back serve buckets of students. The main bar is a room to the left of the big hall where queues are four or five deep service is slow only because there are not enough staff on and the ikea bar out of a box surfaces are sticky, still at least drinks are cheap and the student girls are a good looking bunch.
Overall the current Leicester studbt union bar could do with a revamp and larger parade of staff with more seating but it is suitable for a student night out with thirty pounds in the wallet for nus entrance and a dozen or so snakebites. 6/10
