The Odd Bar (formerly Odyssey)

Previously called Odyssey Bar, this underground student bar greets us with an empty room jazzed up with ripped sofas, neon lighting over the bar and TVs on the walls playing music videos. To contrast against what is a bit of a dingy dive some over friendly bar persons make us feel welcome then spoil things by overselling back stock that they have behind them in the low fridges packed with what is arguably a good variety of drinks. The cocktail selection is also quite varied and a short staircase leads up to a second floor with pool tables.

Overall the odd bar is not particularly odd, i don’t think I’ve ever walked into such a quiet bar at 9pm on a Saturday night which leads me to believe this place wont stand the test of time and at the rate the staff are going, they will scare half the customers away- 3/10
