The Cross Keys (St. Albans - Hertfordshire)

The Cross Keys(Wetherspoons)
An over-sized Wetherspoons with long waiting times at the bar and bar staff that will gladly spill a pint or two upon you while you sit and chat with friends. Its been some time since i actually went to this pub and i hope its lots some of its rowdy charm and blatant underage crowd drawing tactics. Its another meat-market and brings down a happy village but then for cheap drinks in a strangely expensive corner of Hertfordshire-who can say no?

Overall 4/10.

It seems that just because you do not fit into the crowd of the cross keys you don’t like it, the staff are extremely friendly, service is more than usually very quick (except thursdays when students all go out)
there are often bouncers on the door to ID people and it is a friendly warm pub, so before you go calling the cross keys a less than attractive pub to visit, get to know it first and try to be less conservative - clearly very difficult if you are a conservative old man
