Fawlty Towers Hotel Bar

In the traditional English Hotel of Fawlty towers, in Southern England, there is a bar which is a throwback to 1970’s drinking. In fact the very sort of bar you may find in a 1970’s British comedy. Located just behind the reception, the badly decorated lounge is filled with small tables and chairs, a venue which allows animals as well as smoking. The bar service is quite dire, with drinks being poured into wine glasses which clearly do not belong there and champagne service into a small tumbler. It is also not clear who is managing the bar, either it is the restaurant waitress or the hotel manager himself (who is the worst that anyone I know has come across). The Bar selection is also very poor with only one optic dispenser and no freshly squeezed orange juice.
Overall this is one of the worst hotel bars in existence, no music, bad service and virtually nothing to drink leaves drinkers wanting to head up the road to a more suitable establishment. The nuts that the hotel manager offers are hardly going to make up for the fact that he and his venue should be shut down now 1/10

Hi Greg
Not sure if this review is a joke? Why is there no address/phone number of this wonderful establishment? Was Manuel on duty when you visited?
