The Moon in The Square

On the first level of this multiple level wetherspoons are small stairs up to a platform and down to an addition seating lounge but there still doesn’t seem to be enough seating. Then i realise that there is a second floor where the bar is quiet. Not that an overcrowding at the bar is a problem here-friendly fast bar staff keeps queues really short and tables relatively clean. This addition to the famous chain enjoy’s its location by the park and not the beach- so it sits in a rather comfortable setting. Inside again and the soft glow lights which fill the place complete the  pretty much a standard wetherspoons look. They probably get all sorts of crazy types in here so the bouncer gives shady looks as you walk in so it is normal to feel offended until you notice that it is as common to them as blinking.

To differentiate itself the moon has two quiz machines and more slots than most wetherspoons. In fact its all very average-smokers pool together out front constantly and unlike most pubs in bournemouth, theres not a huge gathering for stag do’s - 5/10
