Jumpin Jacks Club

An underground comedy club and disco just by the beach. The layout is quite different from any other club i have been in and the club part of the comedy nights is clearly an afterthought.there is a big central stage but not a huge capacity are school chairs are lined up row by row to watch the acts which come on, all removed later to make way for a dance-floor. During comedy events there is an expensive bar, much to the dismay of those that pay an extortionate amount of cash for a less than funny evening. The Dj is a bit on the loud side without stirring up the crowd. The bar sells weird drinks like bottled mojitos and the queues are too long. Strange props line the walls like broken rafters, crocodiles and old stage lights are dotted about the place. The door people are friendly and are only too happy to take wads of cash for expensive tickets for acts which aren’t all that and a piss poor buffet not worthy of the shelves of Iceland.
Overall this is quite a dire jumping jacks. The comedy night is a rip off for what it is but its the closest thing to a club on the beach and probably less fun than sitting in the sand with a drum of cider- 3/10
