The Barlounge

A heavily populated bar which as an initial impression gives the air of a trendy palace crammed full of people who feel that being their gives the cool image they need to survive their peers. The bar staff are very animated however and once we order our drinks it becomes clear that the barman is all over the shop trying to remember the order. He returns to us after ten minutes and offers the full round of four drinks for a fiver on what is at least a £12 round. This sets the mood for a place that is chilled out, yet busy because it is popular, cool, with cocktails and music which takes a sideline to popular so that it has that little edge on surrounding bars.

Overall despite the busyness has to be one of the friendliest and laid back bars in Chester- fully deserves an 8/10 .
