Off the Wall Bar

Off the Wall bar in Chester is a popular venue, somewhat more down to earth than the other pubs in the area. Reminding me somewhat of a pub with a disco feel to it, Off the Wall comes complete with sleazy guys, pop music. Carpets, where wooden dance floor should be and the favourite accompaniment of the drinker - cheap drinks. Off the wall is a construct on three floors with the main venue on the ground floor, with a trickle of a beer garden at the back. Upstairs a galley overlooks the small stage and downstairs – the toilets. Off the wall remains popular because unlike the majority of late opening places in the centre of town, it has no entry queue and with drink deals and two for ones it is the cheap club for drunken louts.

Overall this means girls dancing with men pressed up against them – so close you can almost smell the illegal benefits on their breath – there is also a long wait at bar and with many drinkers breaking into spontaneous dance while waiting for a bottle of wine – the whole bar is the dance-floor – 6/10
