The Living Room

A large red fabric tent sits among other more commercial outlets on the far side of the lake at the secret garden party. I venture inside to quench my thirst. At the left side of the room is a bar with quite pricey drinks but lower than other festivals. Ahead is a snack bar also serving tea and juice but to the right the tent stretches right back to a small stage with field of lounge furniture before it. Couches and arm chairs all full with festival folk sit and watch an aging acoustic soloist strum melodies at no particular pitch. As those in the crowd realise how bad the music is they vacate chairs only for them to be filled seconds later by someone standing at the back of the tent. The red fabric leaves a warm glow on everyone and I couldn’t help but smile.
Overall the living room really was an oversized hippie lounge with rich pink and red light and a good bar to assist 8/10
