Down the steep hills of Brighton, but not quite to the beach and down the cobbled alleys of yesteryear enter you into a humbled old theatre of whose authentic cramped front entrance leads you up a spiral staircase and into theatre seats lands a jaw dropping feeling in your heart as you learn this is a Yates pub. Looking down from above into the packed bar this unique seating arrangement takes some getting used to. Apart from the problem of climbing over peoples legs to reach the toilet and of course the crick in your neck from having a conversation across four rows of seats is a difficult task.

But the bar is packed, the drinks are cheap and this venue gets a prime 7/10 for true innovation.
