The Gingerbread Men - Best Bands at Bars in North London

I popped down to Buffalo Bar in Islington on April 16th 2009 to check these boys out. I’ve seen them a fair few times, they are always on the circuit, they’ve been on TV in various spots and they are a sweet crowd of cheeky chaps. Gingerbread men play a fair sweep of catchy tunes with tidy, light melodies mixed with some harder rock making full use of bass and guitar riffs. Gingerbread men have a great image. James Richards pours alcohol down the necks of his audience as his band thump rhythms behind him, checking we are all enjoying ourselves before each tune. He engages the crowd, bringing them on stage and they respond in turn, echoing the Ginger lyrics and sharing viral smiles. A great gig at the All Teeth club in Buffalo bar and for one short set brought the place alive. Watch out for these guys; listen to them here:
