Wine Tasting World Record Today

In a ploy to pull hundreds of punters to Wetherspoons all across the country today, the cheap pub company are trying to “break a world record” by giving away free wine to taste for potentially hundreds of thousands of people. Personally I think this is a seriously cheap trick to pull in business since world records are something that require hard work and dedication, not hundreds of people packing into places for the purpose to fill the pockets of the money-hungry hospitalities group. Personally I wont have time to be at a Wetherspoons at 6pm on the dot (some of us have jobs!) but i suppose at the end of the day it is free alcohol and no Brit in their right mind will turn their nose up at that.

So that might be something you need to fill in. (Sounds like a rather badly planned event to me: giving even the people on its mailing list only a few hours notice) So not only will I not be rushing out of work to get to this thing, I will be boycotting on principles of planning. Join me?
