Smoke Outside Clubs to Meet new people

Since the smoking ban was introduced in the UK in summer 2007 there has been a shift in socialising at clubs. Before the smoking ban it was difficult enough to have a conversation in a club with strangers, loud music and crowds do not make the best settings for meeting new and interesting people when the only thing you can here over the crowds is the person you are talking to shouting”what??” at you. For 2008 things have changed somewhat.

Now it is possible to head outside whether it be for smoking purposes or for fresh air to meet new people who all huddle together segregated by their nicotine addictions and make conversation. The new way to meet people when you are out clubbing is basically to head outside where you hear each other talk. Thankfully doormen do not check to see if you are actually having a smoke so non-smokers, although now exposing their lungs to passive smoke, should head outside if they was to meet new people when clubbing.

It is a shame most clubs do not have quiet rooms and non-smokers have to sacrifice their heathly lungs just be as socialble as smokers are now permitted to be.
