Alcohol is Banned on London Underground

Until the election of Boris Johnson as London Mayor, I honestly believed that the laws on drinking alcohol were the same as drinking alcohol anywhere in Britain - drinking in public is illegal unless in private residence or on licensed premises. Any alcohol drunk on the tube was done discretely knowing full well it was illegal to do so. So imagine my surprise when the new comedian-come-politician, Boris, says that it will be made illegal from tomorrow (1st June) in an attempt to cut crime in the city.
1. This will not stop people from drinking before going to a pub, now they will do it on the streets instead of on the tube and stations will become dangerous places to hang around nearby
2. There is no evidence to suggest that alcohol on the tube is fueling crime, Boris was clearly just bored
Feel free to argue against the law in the comments section below, meanwhile there will be a party on the circle line of the tube tonight (31st May) to celebrate the last night of legal tube-drinking. See Facebook for more details and enjoy your last drink!
